Dr. Anne McTiernan Speaks at the Memoir Summit

October 30, 2017

Elizabeth Johnston here of Own Your Creativity and The Memoir Summit.

If you’ve ever wanted to write a book about your personal experience, this summit is where you want to be. It consists of over 20 interviews with industry experts and best-selling authors who have gathered together to share their wisdom and experience with you.

The purpose of the summit is to provide you with information and inspiration for your writing dreams. We all have a story to tell and we all have a story that can help and inspire others, too. This is the case with Dr. Anne McTiernan, one of the summit speakers. Dr. McTiernan

studies the health effects of diet, exercise, and weight at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. She is author of Starved: A Nutrition Doctor’s Journey from Empty to Full (Central Recovery Press, 2016) and Breast Fitness: An Optimal Exercise and Health Plan for Reducing Your Risk of Breast Cancer (St. Martin’s Press, 2000).

During the summit, Anne will talk about how she turned her personal experience into a story. Having her own food issues from a young age, Anne became a doctor who studies the problem from a scientific perspective. In her book, she shares her personal journey and at the Memoir Summit, we talk about that writing process.

The summit is a free online conference that takes place November 14 to 16 and features over 20 interviews with best-selling authors and industry experts. It’s for aspiring writers and anyone with a story to tell. Whether you want to leave a legacy for future generations or document your contribution to the business world or help others achieve a personal challenge, you won’t want to miss the Memoir Summit.
